‘i-Pay’ -Payment of money only after ticket confirmation

RSD- Bharat news: Thousands of trains are running every day across the country and millions of passengers are traveling. This is the reason why railways are called the lifeline of the nation. Generally, if tickets are booked through IRCTC, the tickets are not confirmed first. But the money is debited from the bank account. But did you know that you can book railway tickets without paying in advance while booking the tickets. This option is available only on IRCTC i-Pay payment gateway. This is called ‘autopay’. Henceforth, there is no need to pay if the confirmation is not received after booking the ticket through the IRCTC app/website. The ticket can be paid only after confirmation.

Indian Railways Catering Tourism iPay Payment Gateway AutoPay feature works with UPI, Credit Cards, Debit Cards. In this, the money is deducted from the user’s bank account only after generating the PNR for the railway ticket. This is beneficial for those booking high-value railway e-tickets or trying to book waitlist or Tatkal tickets.

IRCTC has started this facility in early 2021. To make payment through IRCTC-iPay, users need to provide details, permission to use their UPI bank account debit card or any other form of payment. Users can also use these details for future transactions on IRCTC. If you book tickets through IRCTC website or mobile app you will also get instant refund through IRCTC IPA. According to IRCTC, the AutoPay app facility will make it easier for users to book tickets. Refund process in case of ticket cancellation is also easy. This also saves users time. If the confirmed tickets fail while you are booking the tickets, the money will be refunded to you immediately.
