Kanti velugu program at Sircilla on 18th January 2023

On 17.01.2023, Municipal Association President Mrs. Jindam Kala Chakrapani conducted a special dry run program on the Kanti Velugu program to be organized across the state from 18th January 2023. In this regard, President of Municipal Association Mrs. Jindam Kala Chakrapani said that as a part of the mission of healthy Telangana, the Chief Minister KCR reminded that in the year 2018, the Kanti Velugu program was initiated and all the people of Telangana state were provided with free eye diagnostic tests and provided necessary medicines and eye glasses to provide better medical services. Now again, the government has started the second phase of the eye light program from the 18th January 2023 and all the people above the age of 18 years will be given free eye diagnosis tests, medicines and eye glasses will be provided to those who need it and all arrangements will be made to provide treatment to those who need surgical treatment. As a part of that, Minister KTR said that suitable guidelines have been given to the concerned authorities to make the Kanti Velugu program a success by providing better eye care services to the people. In order to provide better medical services to all the people above the age of 18 years under the Sircilla Municipal Corporation, as part of the Kanti Velugu program, the first phase of Kanti Velugu Health Centers has been established in the 15th Ward, 20th Ward and 35th Ward. Similarly, for the convenience of the people who come to the Kanti Velugu Health Centers, plans have been discussed and prepared with the members of the municipal association to provide all the basic facilities like toilets, sanitation, fresh water accommodation and tents and chairs to provide the Kanti Velugu services to each person. The local public representatives along with the officials will inspect the Kanti velugu centers to be organized within the municipality from the 19th January 2023. Municipal Commissioner Sammayya, Councilor members Akunuri Vijayanirmala Balaraju, Adepu Saujanya Mahender, Doosa Vinay, District Health Department officials, doctors, medical staff and Asha workers participated in this program.
