RSD- Sircilla news: They have warned that strict action will be taken if any person comes to their notice installing electric wires at agricultural fields for crop fields to hunt wild animals in the district. In this regard, the District SP issued a statement on 15.02.2024 that similar incidents have been registered in Ellareddypet, Konaraopet and Rudrangi police station in the past week and if such incidents are repeated again and again, PD acts will be registered.

SP said that due to the installation of electric wires for the hunting of wild animals and to protect the crop fields from wild animals, the farmers and animals who go to work in the crop fields get shocked and lose their lives. It has been informed that similar incidents have occurred in the district in the past and innocent people have lost their lives. He said that strict action will be taken against the people who install electric wires for hunting and PD Act will be enforced if necessary. Earlier, PD Act was implemented against a person who caused the death of a person by installing electric wires in Konaraopet mandal.

1. Dontaraveni Vijay and Kurra Bhaskar from Padara village of Ellareddypet Mandal took electricity connection with electric wire and caught fish in Maneru river check dam by electric shock.

2. Gugulothu Tirupati of Village Rudrangi, Harisingh’s buffalo died after being struck by an electric pole set up by a man named Nanda for hunting wild animals at his farm. According to Harisingh’s complaint, Gugulothu Tirupati, who illegally set up an electric fence at his crop field, was arrested and sent to remand.

3. A man named Srinivas from Marrimadla village of Konaraupet Mandal was grazing fodder at the outskirts of Yekka Gede village when a bomb exploded and injured the buffalo. A case was registered against this incident and investigation was ordered by Konaraupet SI. On this occasion, the SP warned that strict action will be taken if explosive materials are stored. Anyone who has information about storing gelatin sticks, explosive materials and who is close to them should call 100 or the nearest police and the details of the informers will be kept confidential.
