RSD- Sircilla news: Town CI Raghupathi said in a statement on 20.01.2024 that Sircilla First Class Judge Praveen gave a verdict on 21 people who were caught driving under the influence of alcohol and sentenced and 29 people to a fine of Rs 3000/- each. From December to January 19th, the police conducted inspections in Sircilla town limits and 50 drug addicts were caught, and the drug addicts who were caught in drunk and driving at Sircilla town police station area were counselled under the guidance of Town CI and Traffic SI and made to take a pledge to never drink and drive again. Then they were produced in the court on 20.01.2024 and the following punishments were imposed. Two were sentenced to three days imprisonment and Rs. 3000/- fine. Two days imprisonment for five people and a fine of Rs 5000/- each. One day imprisonment for 12 people and Rs. 3000/- fine. Two were sentenced to two days imprisonment and Rs. 3000/- fine. Along with them, 29 people have been fined 3000 rupees each, Sircilla Town CI Raghupathi said.

On this occasion, C.I said that drunk and drive tests and vehicle inspections will be conducted every day in the city limits, strict action will be taken against people caught driving drunk and those caught driving drunk vehicles will be seized and given counselling in the presence of their parents or family heads. He said that if they are caught driving under the influence of alcohol, not only the future, but the employment opportunities will face difficulties during the police verification. He explained that legal action will be taken against them if they violate the traffic rules.
