ABVP State Hostels Co-Convenor Maraveni Ranjit Kumar said that the result of decades of freedom movement was the end of British rule and independence of India on August 15, 1947, when the whole country was celebrating independence the people of Hyderabad state were not so lucky. By the heroism of the then Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on September 17th , 1948, the Nizam’s autocratic rule came to an end and the people of Telangana got liberation and independence. ABVP said that the padayatra will continue across the state to inform this generation regarding the Telangana great history and the sacrifices of many leaders in its liberation. During the movement, KCR said that he would officially celebrate the Telangana Liberation Day on September 17th . After eight years of Telangana being formed as a result of the struggle of the Vidyarthi Parishad and the struggle of the people, KCR is celebrating it in the name of unity and officially organizing September 17th  as a proof of liberated Telangana. ABVP co convenor said that people should not only raise the liberation flag but also tell the people about the misdeeds of the Rajakars during the Nizam’s autocratic rule.
