Everyone should be aware of CPR: District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS.

District SP Akhil Mahajan IPS suggested that every police officer should be aware of CPR which should be carried out immediately as part of the life saving process when the heart stops beating or the lungs are unable to breathe.

To the officials and staff of Medilife Hospital Manchiryal, Medicover Hospitals Karimnagar on 28.03.2023 in Padmanayaka A/C Function Hall, eminent medical experts explained how to perform CPR to the Armed Reserve personnel, Civil personnel and Home Guards personnel.

SP said that police officers of all levels are being trained to protect people from sudden heart attacks. Since the policemen who are always among the people are likely to suffer sudden heart attacks, if the policemen of all levels are fully trained, there are more chances of saving the lives of such people and thus they will be good to their families. He said that by providing blood circulation to the heart and providing oxygen through the mouth, the heart can start working and save those who have been in an accident. He also informed that in order to avoid cardiac arrest, there should be a change in personal habits, rules and regulations should be followed regarding food habits, and physical exercise is essential.

The Additional Collector said that in response to the recent increase in the number of deaths due to cardiac arrest, training on CPR is being provided under the Telangana state government. He said that a person who has fallen due to cardiac arrest can be resuscitated through CPR, and nowadays it is necessary to have awareness about CPR.
